Travel Policy
When our consultants are asked to travel we try to make the trip as painless as possible for both the consultants and the customer. We’re particularly aware that most of our consultants have families, and travel may be more of a burden than a perk for them, so we’ve come up with these travel guidelines to keep both the burden and the cost reasonable. Travel costs will cover:
- Transfers to and from airports by taxi.
- Within Australia, economy class airfare that can be changed on the day of scheduled departure (e.g.). We don’t want people to spend time sitting at airports when they don’t have to.
- Daily meals allowance charged at the ATO determined rate for the destination.
- Accommodation agreed with the customer, recharged at cost, including up to $20/day in internet and phone charges so consultants can stay in touch with their family and the company.
All travel costs are in addition to our quoted rates, and will appear separately on our invoices. We won’t show itemised travel expenses unless you explicitly ask us to.
We’re happy to talk about alternative arrangements, but any alternatives will need to be agreed with the consultant doing the work.
